Civil Ceremonies

You have the choice of four beautifully decorated rooms licensed for civil ceremonies. Each is unique with high vaulted ceilings and seating to suit varying number of guests. 

Rambouillet Room* 

The graceful Rambouillet Room is named after Great Yarmouth's twin town, this lovely room has a stunning fireplace and full views over the former merchant houses along the historic quayside. Perfect for smaller ceremonies, up to 30 guests.

Supper Room* 

Our tranquil Supper Room situated at top of the Town Hall's grand curving staircase is ideal for civil ceremonies with between 30 and 70 guests. The room offers a light and airy space for couples to celebrate the start of their new life together. 

*Please note: If you wish to have your ceremony in the Rambouillet Room or Supper Room, you will need to contact the Registrar to ensure they will be available on your chosen date before you make the final arrangements for your booking. All fees for ceremonies held in these two rooms are payable to Norfolk County Council in accordance with their terms and conditions. Assembly Room  

If you're looking for an impressive room, simply oozing with grandeur and opulence for your ceremony, our superbly spacious Assembly Room is the perfect choice! This versatile space can be adapted and set up according to your guest numbers and personal specification, seating up to 200 people. The room stretches the full length of the Town Hall offering views over South Quay and offers a purely spectacular setting for couples to enter wedded bliss. Continue your wedding celebrations in this glorious room with your wedding breakfast and evening reception too!
