Great Yarmouth Borough Council (the Council), Town Hall, Hall Plain, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 2QF, 01493 856100, is the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR).
How we use your information
We will use your personal information for the purposes of booking Town Hall events and facilities. The processing of this information is necessary for the Council to undertake actions within a contract as defined under Article 6(1)(b) of the Act, i.e. the processing is necessary for the Council to perform a task in relation to the contract we have with you.
Data Sharing
Your data will be used for this specific purpose and will not be shared further. Your information will be kept strictly confidential. Electronic forms will be stored in access controlled, secure computer system within the Council's computer network. Paper forms will be stored in a locked filling cabinet in an access-controlled room.
Retention
Your personal information is required to be kept for 2 years following the date of the booking after which time it will be securely deleted. We will review dates for keeping personal data in the future and if necessary, update these privacy notices.
Your rights
You may have the right to:
- see copies of all the data held about you
- ask for it to be corrected or deleted
- request the Council restricts what it does with your data in certain circumstances
- object to what the Council may do with your data
- request not to be subject to a decision based entirely on automated processing
- data portability
Please note that these rights are not absolute and there are circumstances where they do not apply or the Council may override these rights. However, if this is the case you will be informed of this.
