Ceremonies and Receptions
Great Yarmouth Town Hall is the perfect back drop for your wedding ceremony or civil partnership with different rooms available to suit your day. From small and intimate to showcasing your love to everyone you know - we've got rooms to suit differing party sizes and budgets.
We have three licensed rooms available to hold your wedding ceremony. Please remember that registrar fees are in addition to our room hire charges and you will need to check that Norfolk County Council registrars are available for your chosen date and time before confirming your room booking by visiting the Celebrate in Norfolk (opens new window) site.
We would be happy to arrange a viewing of any of our rooms, Assembly Room, Supper Room or Rambouillet Room and help with any questions. Please contact us to arrange this.
By celebrating your entire day with us, you will not only enjoy the comfort and convenience of having everything in one location. You can also make a cost saving on the hire of the ceremony room too.
Assembly Room Ceremony
The Assembly Room is the largest of our licensed ceremony rooms.
The Assembly Room is the largest of our licensed ceremony rooms. Seating up to 200 guests, this stunning Room with its vaulted ceiling and oversized picture windows overlooks the quayside.
2025/26 Room hire for ceremony only:
Monday - Friday - £600 (excludes bank holidays)
Saturday - £900
By celebrating your entire day with us, room hire for the ceremony is reduced.
Room hire for ceremony when booking Assembly Room for reception:
Monday - Friday £300
Saturday £450
Hire charges for a ceremony include:
- Room hire for up to 2 hours and 15 minutes (including 1 hour before the time of the ceremony) which will give you around 40 minutes for photographs after the ceremony.
- Ivory silk flower decorations and pedestals.
- Bluetooth speaker to connect to your phone/tablet for your ceremony music.
- Room set up to your specifications.
- 30 minutes rehearsal to be arranged at your convenience.
- Services of our Wedding Coordinator.
- Arrangements can be made for additional time to decorate the room or for a drinks reception after the ceremony - POA.
Ceremony in Supper Room
Our tranquil Supper Room situated at top of the Town Hall's grand curving staircase is ideal for civil ceremonies with between 30 and 70* guests.

Named after Great Yarmouth's twin town, this lovely room has a stunning fireplace and full views over the former merchant houses along the historic quayside.
