Private Hire Overview

Steeped in local history, our Grade II listed building not only comes with the grandeur and elegance to impress your guests, but it also offers all the important facilities you need to make your special occasion or event simply perfect! Look out for our own events throughout the year too.

Whether you're planning a big celebration with up to 200 guests or a slightly smaller gathering, we can set up the Assembly Room to compliment your plans.  

Be it a milestone birthday party, anniversary celebration or gala dinner, the room can be set up to your specific requirements. And, when it comes to award presentations, charity events and high school proms to name but a few varied events, we've got everything you might need including a PA system, audio visual equipment and stage platform.

Whether you opt for a formal three-course dinner, sumptuous buffet, afternoon tea or something completely different it's entirely up to you! 

Your chosen caterer will have use of our fully equipped kitchen and all crockery, cutlery, glassware for a small additional charge. Table covers should be provided by your catering company or can be hired from us (prices on application). 

Drink

Bar facilities are provided by M & M Bars. They offer a range of beers, spirits and soft drinks and can accommodate drinks receptions, cocktail nights and pre-ordered table wine. The bar is licensed until midnight.  

Be Merry  

Whether it's strutting your stuff to your favourite disco anthems or tapping your feet to a string quartet, we are licensed to have live and recorded music played throughout. Entertainers should have public liability insurance and PAT certificates (if applicable). 

All suppliers must have adequate public liability insurance cover and PAT certificates (if applicable). Catering companies will be required to have a minimum of 4 star food hygiene certificate.
